– A small onion chopped up
– 2 cloves of minced garlic or you can use ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder
– 1 can of diced tomatoes
– 1 can of broth
– ½ tablespoon of dried basil
– 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
– ½ pound of paste of any kind
– Salt to taste
Put your pot on the camp stove or over the fire with the olive oil and onions. Sauté them, then add in the garlic. Dump in the tomatoes, broth, basil, Italian seasoning and the pasta. Stir this to combine. Put the lid on the pot but be sure to stir this frequently. Once the mixture reaches a boil, remove the lid and allow this to cook until the pasta is done.
2) Blueberry Banana Pancakes

The ingredients include:
– 1 cup of flour
– 1/3 cup of powdered milk with 1 cup of water
– 1 teaspoon of baking powder
– ¼ teaspoon of salt
– 1 egg
– 1 banana that is sliced into pieces
– ½ cup of blueberries
– 6 teaspoons of butter
To make these, combine the powdered milk, flour, baking powder, and salt into a bowl. You can do this at home to save time and ingredients that you have to bring with you.
Add in the water and the egg to the dry ingredients and whisk them together. Heat the skillet on the stove or over the campfire, adding one teaspoon of butter to the skillet.
Put the batter into the skillet, add some of the banana slices and blueberries onto the top and cook like you would pancake at home.
You will have to add a teaspoon of butter into the pan each time you put in more batter.
3) Campfire Nachos

Ingredients for this one-pot campfire nachos are:
– 1 cup of tomatoes
– ½ bag of tortilla chips
– 1 can of black beans
– 1 cup of shredded cheese
– 3 green onions
– 1 avocado, that is diced
– ½ cup of fresh cilantro, chopped up
– ½ lime for serving
To make them, add a splash of oil into the pan to ensure that nothing sticks.
Add in ½ cup of the tomatoes, ½ of the chips, ½ of the black beans and ½ cup of grated cheese.
Then add ¼ cup of diced tomatoes and ¼ of the sliced green onions on the top. Repeat the layers until you have used all the ingredients.
Save the avocado, cilantro, and lime for after it is done. You will want to cook this for around 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Then remove from the heat then add the diced avocado, fresh cilantro and squeeze some of the lime onto these and serve.
4) Dutch Oven Chicken Marbella
This is definitely not your usual hot dog around the campfire meal! This is a gourmet meal with half the hassle.
Ingredients for this meal are:
– 1 cup of chopped prunes
– 1 cup of pitted and halved olives
– ½ cup of dry wine
– ¼ cup of capers
– ¼ cup of red wine vinegar
– 6 cloves of chopped garlic
– 2 tbs of dried oregano
– 2 bay leaves
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 4 chicken thighs with the skin on
– 1 tablespoon of olive oil
– 4 teaspoons of brown sugar
You will want to place the chicken with all the ingredients minus the oil and brown sugar into a freezer bag. Then you will want to marinate this for at least 6 to 48 hours.
Place the oil into the Dutch oven and brown the chicken. Once browned, dust the chicken with some of the brown sugar.
Once browned again, add in the marinade and bake this all together for around 30 minutes.
